_Landslide affected Kishtwar-Paddar Road will take 2 more days to Restore:DC Kishtwar_

In recent days,the Kishtwar to Paddar road was severely disrupted due to a massive landslide at Nagseni, halting vehicular movement and impacting essential supplies to the Paddar Sub Division of the District Kishtwar.
Further, the alternative road from Himachal Side, also got disrupted a few days ago, when the GREF Bridge over the Kabban Nallah near Sohal was washed away by a flash flood affecting the supply chain of essential items from the Himachal side.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav, IAS,today personally trekked to the landslide spot at Nagseni and took stock of the situation on the Paddar side of the landslide overseeing the minor repair of the Singhrah Bridge adjacent to massive landslide by GREF Authorities within 3 hours in presence of SDM Paddar Amit Kumar, Tehsildar Atholi Manjeet Kumar, DDC Paddar Hari Krishan Chouhan, and other officials.
DC Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav has informed that additional excavators have been mobilized from ongoing hydroelectric projects to augment the GREF for clearing the road at Nagseni on a war footing.
The repair work at Nagseni is expected to take additional 2-3 days, with the efforts of GREF and hydroelectric power projects' personnel under the district administration's supervision continuing day and night.
Meanwhile, the road connectivity from Himachal to the Paddar area has now been restored following the repair of Kabban Nallah bridge at Sohal Paddar. Essential items loaded in light vehicles have resumed the supply chain to Paddar from Himachal.
DC Kishtwar informed that the supply Chain of essential items for the public will not be affected, as it is ensured from the Himachal side.
However the Vehicular movement on Kishtwar Paddar Road will remain affected until the road is fully restored. The general public is requested to remain patient until the completion of the repair works.
