District Administration Kishtwar in Collab with Social Welfare Department holds Interactive Session for Female Employees of DC Office Complex; Discusses Creche and other facilities

The Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with the District Administration Kishtwar spearheaded by Deputy Commisioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav, IAS organized an interactive session with the female staff of DC Office Complex Kishtwar and discussed the creche and other facilities meant for them.

The session was graced by the presence of Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kishtwar Idrees Lone,DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed Lone,ALC Kishtwar Mamta Sudershan,TSWO Kishtwar Rajesh Sharma ,TSWO Paddar Chetna Sharma besides other officers and female employees of DC Office Complex Kishtwar.

The session provided a platform to discuss the various creche and facilities available besides open dialogue and the exchange of ideas, enabling female staff to voice their concerns and challenges and way forwards.

The event was attended by numerous female employees from various departments, who shared their experiences and sought solutions to many issues ranging from workplace like crech facility, safe and secure environment, separate washrooms, wellness programs, suggestions for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, transport issues related to overloading, special lactating rooms, female committe in all complexes of Mini- Secretariat Kishtwar and various other issues.

ACR Kishtwar Idrees Ahmed Lone and DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed and ALC Kishtwar Mamta Sudershan, listened carefully to the grievances of the employees and proposed actionable measures.

The authorities assured the attendees that their feedback would be taken seriously and that steps would be taken to address the highlighted issues.

ACR Kishtwar Idrees Ahmed emphasized the importance of such interactive sessions in fostering a culture of equality and respect in the workplace. "Our female employees are integral to the functioning of the district administration, and it is our duty to ensure they have a safe and conducive work environment," he stated.

The Social Welfare Department and District Administration Kishtwar plan to hold regular follow-up sessions to ensure continuous improvement and support for female employees in the district.
