Jammu: There is a growing demand to extend school holidays as the monsoon has not yet started and government and private schools in the Jammu summer zone are about to reopen. Although holidays were declared by the government until July 17, and schools were scheduled to reopen on the 18th, due to the extreme heat, the Jammu and Kashmir government should consider granting additional holidays.
This appeal is being made through JK Update News.
"The heat is so intense that young children won't be able to attend school," said a parent. "Children from nursery to fifth grade are very young and cannot tolerate such extreme heat. Therefore, holidays should be extended by another 10 days."
The appeal to the government is to take into account the current heatwave, considering the health and safety of young children, and announce an additional 10 days of holidays. We hope the government will make a positive decision on this to provide relief to the children and their parents.
The meteorological department has not indicated any change in the extreme heat situation in the coming days, making it even more necessary to extend the school holidays. Efforts are being made through various channels to convey this appeal from parents to the government.
The government is urged to make a prompt decision on this crucial issue to ensure children can have a safe and comfortable environment.
