Approves 75 cases with financial subvention of 4.8 crore under various Mission Youth Schemes.
Bandipora, Feb 22: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman Rather today convened a meeting of District Level Implementation Committee under Mission Youth at VC Room Mini-Secretariat, and also took review of the progress of Mission Youth schemes, status of the applications received and the cases forwarded by the District Employment and Counselling Center, Bandipora for accord of approval.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on various schemes of Mission Youth, including Tejaswini, Mumkin, SEI, AVSAR besides the functioning of the already established units .
After threadbare discussions and thorough assessment, the committee approved 20 cases under MUMKIN Scheme, 13 Cases under TEJASWANI and 42 Cases under Support for Entrepreneurship initiative(SEI) scheme with financial support of Rs 2Crore, 65 lakh and 2.16 respectively.
The applications were meticulously scrutinized, and the cases were approved after the mandatory interview and counseling of the applicants. Overall, 75 cases of employment generation were approved with financial support of Rs. 4.8 crore.
Deputy commissioner directed Deputy Director Employment to reach out to the youth and conduct awareness programs about the various government schemes so that the maximum employment opportunities are created for the unemployed youth. He said that district Bandipora has immense potential for the growth of diary, sheep, and agriculture
units.
The DLIC meeting was attended by Deputy Director Employment Bandipora, ARTO, District Social Welfare Officer, Lead Bank Manager, District Officer JKEDA, and by Employment Officers of district employment center Bandipora.
