Jammu: Under the Amarnath Yatra, the third batch of over 6,600 pilgrims has departed from the Jammu base camp for Kashmir. The purpose of this journey is to visit the holy cave temple of Lord Shiva, located in the heights of the Himalayas.

The third batch of pilgrims was warmly welcomed at the Jammu base camp. These pilgrims were dispatched with security and other facilities provided by the Jammu and Kashmir government and the Amarnath Shrine Board. This year, the government has made extensive arrangements for the safety of the pilgrims, including the heavy deployment of security forces and the use of technical equipment.

The Amarnath Yatra attracts millions of devotees every year who, despite the challenging routes and adverse weather, come to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. During the journey, pilgrims have to traverse mountainous paths and icy regions to reach the holy cave.

The pilgrims express great enthusiasm for seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva and are prepared to face all difficulties. Security forces and local administration have worked round the clock to ensure the safety and convenience of the travelers.

Special buses and other vehicles have been arranged for the Amarnath Yatra, allowing pilgrims to travel comfortably. Additionally, medical teams have been deployed at various locations to provide immediate medical assistance in case of emergencies.

The yatra begins in July and concludes on the day of Shravan Purnima in August. During the Amarnath Yatra, devotees visit the ice Shivling located in the holy cave of Lord Shiva, also known as the 'Himani Shivling'.

The pilgrims who have departed from Jammu to Kashmir are now ready for the arduous journey to Amarnath, embarking on their journey with the hope of receiving the blessings of Lord Shiva.
