The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of the UGC-NET June 2026 examination today, August 28, 2026.

The examination was conducted in CBT mode on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30 and July 5 across 655 examination centres in 286 cities for 87 subjects.

According to the NTA, 7,73,806 candidates registered for the examination, while 6,07,151 candidates appeared.

Among the candidates who appeared:

• 4,241 qualified for JRF and Assistant Professor

• 45,904 qualified for Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.

• 97,434 qualified for Ph.D. only

In total, 1,47,579 candidates qualified under the three categories.

The NTA also said that the UGC-NET examination for English, Commerce and Sociology will be re-conducted on September 9 and 10, 2026.
